The two-piece, clear plastic palette has a recessed area of 7.75” x 6.75” in which to place the colors. There are also four recessed areas to hold separate mediums or even water. The top fits down over the palette area when finished painting.

The overall size is: 8” x 10.5” and .75” deep. As with most palettes, they must be carried flat.

What I like about the palette:

It is clear. I can see at a glance what condition the paints are in, and they seem to “call” to me more than the opaque lidded ones do. We live in a very hot dry area, and I was skeptical that the paint would stay as fresh as those that need to be "burped"; but it that has not been a problem at all. I use two folded shop towels; wet and then wrung out as a base over two layers of fake chamois. Personally I don't use the deli-wrap on top, but I have no argument with those who do. Even though you can put pennies in the corner under the chamois to retard mold growths, I've found it is more effective to use a few drops of tea tree oil.

The medium receptacles are just the right size for retarder, glazing medium, etc.

It is a very nice size, I prefer its more square shape. It is very light weight.
